In Framingham, landscape supply yards usually price bulk material by the cubic yard and charge a delivery fee by distance, so measure the area first: one cubic yard of mulch covers about 100 square feet at three inches deep. Across Massachusetts, small-engine repair shops get backed up in early spring, so service mowers over the winter. Many yards and feed stores close earlier on weekends. Check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating, and call ahead to confirm stock and delivery days.

Framingham is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Framingham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Beautiful, healthy fish and plants. Attentive, (mostly) knowledgeable staff. Fair prices. Try to avoid asking the younger (teenage, summer?) staff to get fish from planted tanks - they do so much chasing with their nets that the fish must have heart attacks; rather ask a more seasoned staff member.

Enjoyed a great first visit to this shop. There’s really no quality tropical fish stores North of Boston, so this was worth the drive. Picked up some Congo tetras, Cardinal tetras and Rainbowfish. All fish doing fine a couple weeks after purchase in my planted tank. Great selection, helpful staff, recommended!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This store just rocks, thanks to the very knowledgeable and caring staff who work there. They will always help you quickly and clearly care about ensuring the best quality of life for the fish in their care. I only buy my aquarium supplies at this store. They are the only store I’ve ever seen that does NOT keep its male bettas in tiny little cups. The difference this makes to their health is obvious: every fish has bright colors, full fins, and is alert and active. Don’t go anywhere else for a betta if you can help it! Their equipment stock is second to one as well, and you can even get RO water here for a bargain. I’m so glad I found this fish store! I called with a question about the fish I bought here and they talked me through all the parts of her care with nothing but kindness.

Went into this shop for the first time on a busy Saturday. It was busy, but we had no trouble getting assistance from the helpful and friendly staff. Really nice selection of fish, tanks all clearly marked (better than most shops...). We got a few Chili Rasbora's and a Honey Gourami, as well as some aquarium rock at a great price. We will be back!

When I arrived the store was pretty busy. Everyone was helping customers. I was able to walk through the first row and got to the Mudskipper tank. This was my main purpose for coming in. I was greeted by the owner while I was looking at them and taking pictures of their tank. We talked and I explained what I wanted. She was very focused on our interaction and quickly gathered what she needed once I decided on which ones I wanted. She quickly gathered them up and had them bagged for transport. We went to another tank and got a couple of fish as well. I truly enjoyed the entire experience and the discussion and information. She walked us to the register and bagged everything in an insulated bag for our 1.5 hour trip home. She thanked us for our visit and purchase. I will be a regular customer for now on. Thank you Tropic Isle!
